It isnt neccessarily important or vital, it just depends on the person. Some women are more susceptable to cyctitis than others. I never used to have a problem until recently when I managed to catch an infection a few times in a month... It was very painful, so now I try to make a point of peeing after sex. It certainly can help, yes, cos it flushes out bacteria.
