Q: Bleeding During Sex

Hello,

can anyone please tell me if bleeding during sex (occasionally or near the time of your period) can be related to hormones and the pill? All of my paps have always been normal, but i'm really scared something serious is wrong. Doctor seems to think it is birth control-related because i've switched around quite a bit lately. But I can't even have sex anymore...I'm too scared i'll bleed again.

It can be normal and due to the hormones in your birth control. You might try a different form of bc and see if that helps - but you said you have been switching it up lately, and that might be the problem.

Hard to say. Your doctor probably has the right idea, since he sees people with this problem all the time - and all i've got is an opinion. ;)
