Before you do anything stupid as you put
it,,,run to your nearest human services
and ask for the pamphlet depression (your
doctor ) may also be able to help with
this...It sounds like you may be
overwhelmed by something or someone it
happens alot believe me I no for facts I
have been running to my doctors for 15 yrs
now and they can help!!It doesnt mean
(when I say 15 yrs) that you have to live
with this for life however there are
services and technics that help us deal
with every day problems...

Janey 1and 2, god yes I feel like that so
often - but there are times when I get
through it.
Do you know what is causing these
feelings? I'm asking because I think
there are different ways to deal depending
on the problems at hand.
I know for me, sometimes stuff seems
really daunting and overwhelming and I
dont know how to deal with what is going
on so I just want to bail. At other
times, I just don't care about things
enough to not want to run away. And
other times, I can look at things in my
life objectively and think that it should
be manageable to deal with, but I just
dont feel that I can face it.
Hve you tried breaking your life down into
really small parts and just concentrating
on dealing with one aspect of it (for me,
that sometimes means just getting out of
bed in the morning)? Sometimes I find
this helps me to get dealing with bigger
things.
Also, for some people, books like mind
over mood (dont know the author) or
feelign good by david burns, can help
train yoruself to deal with your life and
feel good about it. And for many,
therapist or a good supprot ntwork,
help.
It can be really tough but it is awesome
that you are writing in. Just posting
here seems to me to be somethign you are
doing other than running away.

Great advice mscreant. I recently
finished a cbt group and it is having a
positive effect on my life. I know I have
to keep practising for the new way of
thinking to become more natural to me but
it is already helping more than I ever
thought it could. I have not read mind
over mood but the one by david burns and
the one by sam obitz have both helped me.

Depression! You are not alone, I used to
get so low and then I would realize how
fortunate I really am. I live with pain
24/7 sometimes I fall a lot but I keep
moving, I am not ready for a wheel chair
my life has been good, it has had it's ups
and downs when I used to get dow real bad,
I would go talk to these people in a rest
home that had nothing of course, I worked
there too or to watch some of these kids
that are terminally ill that know that
they are passing on but they can still
smile and know that they are loved and so
are we. Maybe if you go to church, join
a cbt group or some type of support group,
do some relaxing exercises. What you
might want to do is to call mental health,
they might lead you in the right direction
and please don't take me wrong, I am not
trying to tell you that you are crazy,
sometimes we all need a liitle help and
their is nothing to be ashamed of. We
are here for you. Talk to your dr about
your feelings to and if he/she will not
listen get another opinion,
