Hello everyone,
i'm new here, so please bear with me.. My husband got diagnosed with phlegmonous gastritis a month ago and was given a 5% chance of surviving... He has been on strong antibiotics since then and has not been able to leave the hospital.. They discharge him after keeping him there for a week, then he gets pains, vomitting and goes right back in. The hospital has done that 3 times now (they won't let him stay there). His doctor is the only doctor that I have encountered so far that knows about this disease (he actually diagnosed him). We wanted 2nd opinions but no one seems to know enough about it where I can fully trust their judgment. The Dr. Is saying to have surgury and remove his entire stomach but even then hes not sure what his chances of surviving are. Does anyone have anyyyyy information on this?? Pleaseeee ive been calling hospitals and dr's and am very very frightened. Please respond
