Q: Can I be Pregnant even if I am Spotting?
asked by: DoctorQuestion on August 4th, 2006
Ok, I am 23 years old. Me and my fiancee have been together for 1 1/2 years, and in that time i have miscarried twice, both last year, one showed up on hpt, and the other didn't. For the past few weeks I have been getting these signs again of being pregnant, and it also shows up negative on the hpt. But I am spotting very little. Could I be pregnant again even though I am spotting, I never did that with the last ones?

If your home pregnancy test is negative, then you are most likely not pregnant. I am not sure that you experienced a miscarriage the second time with a negative pregnancy test. If the pregnancy test is positive, spotting could be a very serious sign of another miscarriage. Another negative pregnancy test spotting could indicate anything (infection, tumor, cycle irregularity etc). I recommend you visit your gynecologist.
