Please can you advise:

for over a year now off and on I have had bouts of upper stomach pain, nausea, malaise and bloating inc belching and passing wind and hearburn. I wake up every morning with an ache in my stomach and heartburn and as the day goes on my stomach bloats to the extent that I look 5 months pregnant. Im 8 stone. Throughout the year ive had 4 blood tests which have revealed that I have a high bilirubin the first test a year ago was 17 then went up to 20. Six weeks ago I was really ill and and had another blood test which was 25, two weeks later went down to 20. The doctor thought I had gallstones but a two weeks ago I had an ultrasound scan and it was fine. I still have the symptoms but not as bad. I have suffered from ibs for 10 years, do you think it could be possible it could just be a bad case of this? Can it be normal for a persons bilirubin levels to go up and down?

Im devastated as I went to see my doctor yesterday and im due to get rhinoplasty in september and he has advised me not to go through with
the operation until I know the whats going on. Do you think it is necessary to cancel my operation? :(

hoping you can be of help.
Many thanks
