Hello ehealth members,

i am a unique case. I am a 15 year old male, who would like to gain some weight. I am underweight, I am about 5'11" - 6' and I am about 120lbs.

It is a challenge to buy clothes, because if I aim for the 28 inch waste line, rarely can I find 32 inch length, in which is my ideal pair of jeans. I am trying to discover a way to gain weight, and hopefully "fast". It is the summer, and I honestly do not eat 3 balanced meals. I take daily multivitamin and I go running almost every morning. I obviously have a fast metabolism, and my father is skinny (just, was never as skinny as me). The next school year is coming up, and I would like to try and gain maybe 10 or 20 lbs before september (it is the beginning on august) so my clothing would fit better.

I know the best option would be "working out" and getting muscle, however I have a weak upperbody and that really isn't exactly what I am aiming for - I want fat. I really want to "bulk up" without becoming unhealty. So going on a oreo and chocolate milk diet, isn't exactly what I am looking for ;)

i am currently going to try making calorie milkshakes/drinks before bed. This would in theory put about 1500-2000 calories into my body, and then I go to bed and maybe it will turn into fat. I have tried this before, and it wasn't as satisfactory and successful as you would honestly think it would be. Therefore, I am looking for a better alternative.

I have spoke to my doctor about my size, and she does reccomend I bulk up. It is not like I am in a position in which I need to gain weight medicinally, nor do I have an eating disorder (i do eat a good amount of food).

So - if there are any sort of "get-fat" diets out there, in which can provide my guidelines to do the opposite of getting lean that would be great. Any suggestions would be amazing - but in the end those calorie milkshakes aren't too great tasting and seem to not be very affective.

Thanks!
