I'm just about 8 weeks, &.I think .I need to start using cocoa butter or something like that- do any of you have any suggestions on brands or whatever that work best or what doesn't work &whatnot? I know .I'm gonna get stretch marks no matter what, but .I'd like my skin to return to as normal as possible after the baby is born. Especially since .I have tattoos in the worst place possible!

Oh, &also- those of you with medicaid, did it cover your prenatals? I finally got approved &got my card. So if it covers my perscription .I'm heading to the pharmacy tomorrow to get that shiz filled!

Yea girl, medicade covers basically everything you need. I don't know what i'd do without it. Being that you're on medicade, you'll prob be interested in .W.I.C. Which basically supplies all of you formula when you have the baby and while you're preggy it supplies milk, cheese, and bread I think. I would def. Want to suggest this to you!! The website is 1800251baby.Com

as for the stretch marks, nothing prevents them. Just roll with it, you might or you might not get them. Lotion does help but you need to make sure you let your belly dry before lowering or putting on a shirt. If you don't it'll wind up all soaking the shirt and not your skin. Even with moisturizing, you're still at risk of getting them due to the intense stretching of your skin in such a short time!

Good .Luck!!

Preventing stretch marks is impossible if that is the type of skin you have. You can however prevent too much stretch marks by drinking alot of water (moisturising from the inside out) and keeping your skin supple and moist that will increase the elasticity of the skin.......
Palmers cocoa butter is good to use as well as vitamin e,

palmers also makes a serum especially for fading stretch marks, can't remember what its named though.

I recommend palmer's cocoa butter!!!! I used it with all my pregnancies. Now I did get stretch marks, but they are a light silvery colour.

I didn't have 1 stretch mark while preggo, they all showed up 2 days after trey was born, but I used nothing (cause i'd forget all the time) and I barely have any noticeable ones. Stretch marks are either gonna come or not. They say the creams help but I think it's just a marketing tool!

I hear bio oil is wonderful but I wouldnt know. Ive been using cocoa butter since I found out I was pregnant. I am now 37 weeks pregnant with tonnes of stretch marks! It really all depends on your skin type I reckon
