Q: Substitutes for Codeine?

Doctor Question
I just had a hernia repair and have been prescribed Codeine Phosphate 30MG, i was told to take 8 every day for a month but in 2 weeks time im going to Dubai where Codeine are illegal so i dont know what to do!

You can request a prescription for some other painkillers such as tramadol, ketoprofen, diclofenak, ibuprofen, etc. as a substitute for codeine Tramadol is also opiate analgesic like codeine. The rest of the painkillers are non-opiate based forumulas.
