This really sucks. It hurts very bad right now and at night. After moving my bowels I feel good for awhile, or if I am on my feet. As soon as I lay or sit it hurts really bad. Im scared it may be appendix or liver.

Get to An Er
My brother drove himself to the hospital in the nick of time...His appendix ruptured 5 minutes after walking into the emergency room. This is not something you can ignore, go to an er and let them rule out appendix. If this should rupture, it could kill you..........Please....For peace of mind if nothing else?

Er
If it were me and my lower abdomen side were in pain as you are describing, i'd go to the nearest hospital er. If this turns out to be nothing, at least you would know......If it is you appendix, you will at least be at the hospital. They will check you out making sure it is not appendix, if it is, they may need to do surgery to remove it. My brother had his taken out. So did my dad years ago.

I mean it doesnt hurt that bad to go to an emergency room. I dont want to embarrass myself over something stupid. It seems to stop hurting after I move my bows, but I am very constipated for someone who drinks tons of water and eats only high fiber foods.

You Think Its Bowels?
Hi, sometimes all the water and high fiber foods in the world can't help a slow digestive tract. Sometimes we all need a little help. Please promise me, embarrsment or not, if you start hurting bad you will go to the er...Yes mam.....Yes I am mom and I worry! If you think it could be constipation, have you tried a mild overnight laxative? I know these are horrific for you, but sometimes, nature doesn't always work.

Yes actually I have. I also read if its an appendix the worst thing for it is laxative. I also dislike laxatives for the reason they work that night but you are constipated for the next 3 days. I dont like that.

Metamucil!
It took a while to get myself "regulated". My gastro Dr. Has me on metamucil 2 x a day. I also put hat fibercel stuff in my coffee every morning. You can mix this stuff with anything and never taste it. I had chronic constipation for months before going to a specialist. Had the big colonoscopy......It was fun! Anyway, I am back on a regular schedule now and have not been constipated for over 5 months!

You know that munimicel stuff is only reccomended for 2 weeks. I choose the natural husk and fiber chewables.

I have been on this stuff for almost 6 months! Have been told since its natural and I have had so many problems, to continue. You are young though, maybe this is just a slow phase in your life! Hope everything comes out alright! 8) take care of yourself!

Extremely eHealthy
Have you tried the magnesium of citrate or citrate of magnesium(don't remember the exact name) it is in a bottle and it tastes terrible but it generally works. Talk to a pharmacist, the main thing is is that you try not to get dependent on laxatives, I know that I sometimes need them because of my pain meds. I have some pills ordered that has senna and cascara that are supposed to be good, if you continue having this problem, talk to your Dr.
