For years now i've been afflicted with headaches. I never thought much about them, they weren't too bad and seemed to come and go. About two years ago, I had a string of painful migraines that were bothering me enough I requested to go the doctor (i'm 15, if that matters). He accused me of being depressed and said it was all in my head. For months now (i'm gonna estimate since february) i've been getting more painful ones. I thought at first they were jaw related, b/c the pain started around my upper jaw and traveled to my temples. Now i'm not so sure.

I get these headaches almost every day (i have one as I type this), and within the past month, dizzy spells have accompanied them. I got my period today, and along with it the worst dizzy spell i've ever had (i don't know if there is a correlation or not- but I thought it was interesting to note). I've been keeping a log of what I eat and what i'm doing when they occur and can find no link. I've mentioned these headaches numerous times before (each time my parents go "we've never heard that!", when I know they have, many times) this latest time they promised to take me to a doctor- nearly a month later, they have not.

These dizzy spells are starting to worry me, but I don't want to beg my parents to pay the money for a doctor's appointment just to be told it's all in my head. (and no, I am not depressed, I know that much.) I know I should, but before I do, does anyone have a similar experience? Does this sound like it's really a problem, or does it sound to you guys like it's just my imagination?

Ps- I forgot to mention that over the counter painkillers like aspirin and ibuprofen do nothing for these headaches. :?

Hey. I get these too. Im 18 and I have been getting these since last year when I was 16.
I have been to the doctors and he sent me away several times and I was at my sisters and I had nosebleed and it worried her so she got me another doctors appointent with another doctor and she sent me for blood pressure and blood test and eye tests (as I was born with Congenital squint and 2D vision) so they assumed it was my eyes and my tests were fine.
I hit the back of my head on a brick wall when I was 7-9 and then I hit the front of my head on a table on the 2nd October and since then I have had the pain also just above where I hit my head.
I think it might be something called Occipital Neuralgia.
It matches by like 98%.
Hope this helps. I live in the UK so my doctors and hospital is free, which I wish everybody had. I have doctors on the 24th so il post back with any new news to what it called be.
My parents too do not listen to when I say my head hurts. My mum always says "I get those", clearly she dosent, because then she would do something about them as she would no how painful they are, and my dad just says take a tablet, which do not help. But luckley I have my sister who cares. Very Happy
Il post back 24th or 25th. Very Happy

Charlotte.
