Q: Spondylosis and Spondylosisthesis: Pain Relief Options

Doctor Question
i have been diagnosed with spondylosis and spondylosisthesis(work comp injury)1 have been out of work for 5 weeks,they treated me for spasms until a mri was performed,? i have is workers comp wants me to have an epideral done for the pain and send me back to work within 2 weeks after the epideral,i want to know my options,i havent even seen a neuroligist yet

An epidural analgesia can help you by relieving the pain you are experiencing, probably only temporarily. Other options for pain relief are taking painkillers (orally), physical therapy, finally... surgery. You can try an epidural analgesia to see its effects. If it doesn’t help, you can consult a neurologist, an orthopedist and a physiotherapist.
