Q: 16 Year Old On the Verge of An Eating Disorder...need Advice

I'm 16 years old and I weigh 102 right now and am 5'...I used to weigh 107 at the beginning of the summer (i weighed 20 lbs less before puberty came and ruined my like lol)....I've lost 5 lbs w/ in the past month by having: a cup of milk in the morning and basically endless lettuce and maybe a lil bit of carrots or broccolli and a couple strawberries and a slice of apple....... When it comes to exercise sometimes i'd do an hr of stairs or an hr jogging or some dancing

now when I step aside and look at what i'm doing to myself I realize how stupid i'm being...Everytime that I come to eat anything ..... Even broccolli...I feel guilty even if i'm not overeating ....I want to stop this and just eat like a sane person esp b/c I need my vitamins (i am 16 afterall) and if I stay at this height i'll always look like a fat midget..........But I know that once I begin eating again it will lead to a drastic weight gain but I really do not like feeling fat......I really just want to put food away almost altogether just so I could reach my goal of getting rid of the excess fat that is slathered on my body but i'm a smart girl and know that I should not deprive my body but still i'm a perfectionist and just find the look of celulite disgusting .... I want to have the body of rachel bilson really really badly and will at this pt do anything to get it.....
Does anybody have any suggestions for a good diet that will help me lose weight but still keep me nourished?

Weight loss
What you really and truly need is a good therapist who can help you with your eating disorder/body image disorder. I do understand that you are petite and that the pounds do show more easily on a small person but you cannot go on eating this way, nor can you help yourself. At the very least, get a nutritionist who can help you to find healthy eating habits and so you won't gain too much weight ( to keep you from freaking out). Additionally, keep on exercising because once you start eating, the exercise will mentally keep you in check and you will feel better about eating if you are active and fit. I have been there... Good luck to you!

Active User, very eHealthy
this is the start of something big hun, and it will only get worse if you dont seek out help now while this eating issue of yours is small.
you can be a slim 5' girl at 16.
and by achieving that, it means eating healthy meals, exercising at least 3 times a week. you will be destroying your body if you keep going down the route that you are going down now.
you wont gain a ton of weight back if you start eating normally again if you introduce foods back into your life slowly and get the help of a dietition or nutritionist to help you do this professionally.
Broccoli is healthy for you, its not going to add on a ton of weight if you eat some. none of the foods that you are eating will do that right now, they are healthy foods, but you need more than that, like protine, grains, more calcium, fruits and veggies..if you deny your body these things your body will be too weak to do anything.

you should talk to your parents about this so you can get some help with this, ive been where you are and still am to this day sometimes, you cannot get better on your own.

good luck hun
