Well, I went into labor saturday night and early sunday morning our little bundle of joy arrived! It was a very smooth labor and went very quickly.. Surprised the nurse and resident doctor quite a bit! Lucky me! I was due august 22nd, so she was a little early, more than ready though I guess.

Our beautiful baby girl arrived 6.8 pounds and 19 inches...It is absolutely amazing, no feeling in the world like it!

Good luck to everyone...Trust me every little thing we go through while pregnant is all worth it when you see your baby! Thanks for all the advice.

My angel was 3 1/2 weeks early too! She was also 6.8 and 19in. Weird huh? She born on april 22, the date(different month) that yours was due! Thats crazy huh?

That is strange! She was certainly ready to come out and it worked out so well for my family since they live out of state and they were here (thought my parents jumped the gun coming so early but what can you say about a mothers intuition (my moms that is!)...Timing couldn't have been better! They got to spend her first two weeks with their first grandchild and I had her the day before my older sister's flight left, now my younger sister just needs to see her.

We went for our two week check up the other day and now she is 7lbs 12oz...She loves to eat.

Hope things are going well for everyone!

Sorry It's So Long...but Here Ya Go!
A few days before I delivered I started losing my mucus plug and was concerned that I might be going into labor. My parents live in another state and my sister was visiting. I had spoken to my mom and she had tickets booked for the next day. I had a routine appointment the same day they were flying out and they checked me and I was dilated to 2 (the same as I had been the week prior), so I figured I was just anxious...And certainly thought my parents had jumped the gun on coming... Little did I know that a mother's intuition should never be questioned!!! They arrived on thursday night...
I was at a comedy show with my parents and sister (my husband was out with friends) saturday night...I kept feeling my stomach getting hard and soft and my mom and I were trying to time them somewhat (however there was no pain, so I was not sure if they were actually contractions)..They were anywhere from 4 to 6 minutes apart and lasted about a minute. After the comedy show we drove home and they started to get a little more uncomfortable but still not painful. My mom timed about 4 or 5 contractions and then all of the sudden I heard a popping sound and jumped up from the couch and then my water broke. I ran to the bathroom and it kept flowing. I called the hospital and they said to come on in. This was all about 12:30am the whole way to the hospital my water was leaking, by the time we got there my pants were soaked! We arrived at the hospital and they checked me in and took me to a delivery room. My contractions had got more painful, but still very bearable if I just concentrated and breathed through them. My mom and I sent my dad, sister and my husband home to get some sleep since it was my first baby and it would probably be numerous hours before anything happened. The nurse had been in and out and we talked about the epidural and she said to let her know when I wanted it. I waited until my contractions were making my body shiver and then I asked for it (i was dilated to 3 before the epidural). After I got the epidural the nurse said I would still feel pressure but no pain and should be able to sleep through my contractions and let her know if not. (this whole time the nurse and resident doctor kept saying how I would probably not deliver until the next day in the afternoon.) I layed there to try and sleep and my next contraction came and I told my mom I could not sleep through them and I felt a lot of pressure and thought I needed checked again. The nurse came in and checked me and I had dilated from a 3 to almost a 9 in an hour. We frantically began calling my family to get back down to the hospital asap. They called my doctor and she was on her way as well. I pushed for less than a half an hour and our little girl arrived at 6:54am...It was absolutely amazing!

Sorry so long, but I know when I was waiting I was very curious and had no idea what to expect! Hope it helps!
