Q: Odd Numbness In Abdomin
asked by: sheppmds on August 1st, 2006

For about one month I have been having an odd sensation of numbness and tingling in the upper right side of my abdomin. The numbness is not apparant in the morning when I first get up, but almost immediately after eating or drinking a minnimal ammount of anything the symptoms begin to appear. The precise location of the numbness is about one inch to the right of the bottom tip of my sternum and under the curve of my rib cage. The circumfrence of the area could be related to the size of a handball. If anyone has any ideas on what the cause of this could be I would love to hear any oppinions on the matter.

Hi there... I've been having this same problem. It's exactly as how you're describing it. I haven't been to the doctor's yet but it has me a bit afraid. If you're still on these forums or if anyone can help or tell us what this is i'd appreciate it. Thank-you

I also have these exact symptoms. Since this was posted over a year ago did any of you get a prognosis? I have been to the doctor and he doesn't know yet but says it is in the area of the gall bladder and liver. I am taking something for cholesterol but he says my liver checks out OK. I may get an upper GI.
