Hi everyone. I've had a non stop
headache since september 2003. I decided
to get glammed up and get some hair
extensions put in. The hair glue got on
my scalp and I apparently had an allergic
reaction to it. My scalp had sores on it
and it was red and painful. A few weeks
later, externally, the pain went away, but
internally the pain remained. Most
people think that my headache is not the
result of the hair glue and it's a
coincidence that my headache started at
that time. I do have tmj. I've had tmj
since early 2002. My headaches are at
the top of my head, it's like a feeling of
pressure at the top of my head and it
slightly hurts behind my eyes. My
questions are: can hair glue on the scalp
cause permanent nerve damage and pain?
Can tmj cause non stop headaches at the
top of your head? From my story, what
kind of headache does it seem that I have
and what medications do you think will
help??
Oh yes, yesterday my doctor gave me
topamax. I heard the side effects are
severe. I've only taken one pill.
Should I continue and risk the effects?
Do you all have any suggestions of
medications that work just as well as
topamax, but have less side effects??
