My doctor recently told me I probably have molluscum but didn't say for certain if it was or not. After looking on line I am sure it is that. I need to know how long it takes for the lesions to appear to know how long ago I contracted this as I have not had sex in over two months. I used to have warts on my hands, feet and elbow as a child and occassionally have to remove one from my hands every now and again. It seems to me that molluscum is caused by the same virus or it's close cousin. Could I have given this to myself through masturbation? I need to know this before I talk to my wife so I can figure out where I got it from.
