I am kind of curious if any of you have had acute pancreatitis come up more than once in a month. I started getting ill in april with only nausea and vomiting after I ate. I went to the doctors in june and they said it was acid reflux. Well about 2 weeks later I got a lot of pain after a few days of pain the doctor took blood tests nad did an ultrasound and said I had acute pancreatitis. My lipase then was 2000. I stayed in the hospital for 5 days and then went home. I felt great for about a week and my blood tests after a week out lipase 180. I did have a few days of nause and vomiting a few days later and then after a ewek I had a lot of pain hit again. I went to the er and they said my lipase was 7000 and sent me home with pain killers. I have read people getting the pain every once and awhile but was curious if anyone has the same problem and what caused it? Any info would be great

Question hello janenecd, I have suffered for over 10 years with a case o pancreatitis, and it comes and goes. I have sever asthma and I have to take steriods oral or iv make it worse and it never comes up on blood tests, it can be confirmed by ct scan, with contrast.. Be very a where of what you eat and no sugar, alcohol, chocolate. It would be a good idea to keep a diary of all the pain, food, exercises everything.. Then they will thing you are serious. And bee strong and never give up a friend ww Smile
