The other day at work I had something one my hand that I thought was a spiderbite. Then I got really big. Then it was gone. All in an hour. Then that night I got like, 20 more, and they itch! They were on my feet and up my legs and my hands. The next night they were all over my back and stomach. And well..Everywhere. They only seem to come at night. I dont think im stressed. Someone told me it could be a yeast infection. Help!

Hives
Are you using something different? Soap or lotion. Something on your clothes that is not washing out? Smile

Sounds like hives/allergic reaction to me too (although I wouldn't totally rule out stress). My daughter has allergies which show as headaches, nausea, itches, various rashes/hives/welts, for her the main problem (even airborn!!!!) is any contact with any sort of petroleum based products, perfumes, cleansers, also alot of furniture is finished off with a petroleum based product (we discovered her allergy when we bought her new solid wood bedroom furniture!!)

so don't just think in terms of cleansers, soaps, perfumes, also think are you aranyone you live with using anything new or has there been a new purchase. Since it first happened at work in the morning though it would be worth thinking what happened that morning? Did you come in contact with anything new, buy anything new? Did work buy anything new or start using something new? It might only come out at night after building up during the day????

In terms of stress, just in case, try some relaxation exercises (this could also help the hives!!).

Hives
As I read your post, I was wondering if maybe you are taking any codeine based prescription drugs....Lots of people who may be taking these drugs have alot of itching/rashes. I took lorecet after some dental work, and it made me itch all over. Also, if you are stressed out that causes hives too. At a particularly stressful time in my life, I had a "hive phase". When I felt really stressed, I could feel the hives coming on. They were raised red itchy places varying in size all over my body. I remember being sent home from work one day because I broke out in hives on my face! I had one the size of a half dollar right in the middle of my forehead! Also, like the other postings said....Could be an allergic reation to laundry soap. Cleaners, etc. If it continues to happen, I would see my doctor.

Hello....I read your post and what you had sounded exactly like what I suffered from a few months ago. I was preparing to take the gre to get into graduate school...And I was stressed out about it. At night I would lie in bed and relax and watch tv before going to sleep and all the sudden I started itching all over...Especially my palsm, stomach and bottom of my feet. I also had red blotches all over. I took some benedryl and they all disappeared within half an hour. Sounds like you have yourself a case of the nervous hives! Try taking some benedryl and see if that helps. Good luck!

I have had hives twice in my life ( as a child)...On my arms, legs, back, buttocks, and neck. Although it's extremely annoying, it's easy to treat. Speak to your doctor to make sure it is in fact hives and they'll most likely recommend that you take benadryl ( it works wonders) and use a cream to ease the discomfort caused by itching. Don't worry, it'll clear up soon. And the best part is that it's rare for it to come back within a short period of time. If you do get it again in the future, it most likely will not be in the near future.
