I live in a transsional housing faccility along with 3 other single parents (female) and one of the girls there is (i feel) neglecting her child she will ignoire her to smoke meth and weed she will get drunk and yell and I suspect physical abouse put I do not know what I do not see. She will engage in sexual interactions with her bf shuting her child out of the room(i know because I have been an unwilling witness) and leave in the middle of the night and assume that because there are other ppl there we are watching he child. I am at a loss of what to do I have tried talking to her about her actions when that failed I conttacting css they told me that unless I have proof of this i.E picture, video, audio or writing to were she admits her activies that they cannot do anything. I am scared 4 this child well being and am power less to stop it. When I could do nothing else I treid the police but they always seem to show up to late. I feel now that they think I am the one on drugs. Help me help this child please.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I usually do not interfer with other peoples parenting practices, however if what you say is true, then there is no parenting being done at all. Although I live in a large metropolis, I still think we should look out for each other and especially the children. My understanding is that if css is called then they are obligated to investigate whether the allegations are true or not, the same is for the police.
If you called only once then I would say to call again and give specifics, perhaps the person who answered the call "dropped the ball"(it wouldn't be the first time the gov't screwed up). Also if you keep track of her ie times of departure, perhaps she leaves at approximately the same time every fri or sat night? That way you can get the police there sooner.
Other than that, if totally frustrated I would threaten the css, ie. If anything, anything happens to this child i'll be the first one to call the papers and the police. Keep records, if only to protect yourself too.

Oh I have called css numorise time. But your right I need to start documenting what happens. Because I do need to protact my self and my child its just so frustating waching an inoccent baby go thorugh this. And I cannot be there 24/7 I work from 2-10 mon-fri and I am always fearful that that day will be the day to late.
