Ok so I am pretty active. Im turning 16 I play soccer tennis and sometimes I work out. I have a big bone structure and alil extra fat. I would'nt call myself fat but I could lose weight. I weight 160. I have alot of muscles and im strong but I still have that extra fat. What ever I do I can lose the extra weight. So latley I have been throwing up my dinners and it seems like im losing a lilttle weight. Not that i've noticed but my friends have. I want to stop and I know I could but I just want to lose some weight before school starts im tired of being a size 9. Im pretty and almost have and average body but alot of my friends are small boned and sticks. And that dosent help me. I want to go on a diet. But I want one where I buy the most of the meals and they'll keep me full. Would slimfast work??? Im very confused and im not sure where I should go at this point. I have only been doing this for about two weeks but... I feel like I need to do something now. Either I find a good diet to go on or I continue bulimic behaviors intell I lose the weight. Please reply to this asap I really need the help!

Please don't start throwing up and becomming bulimic. Please get some professional help! We are here for you! Did you know that being bulimic can cause arthritis, stomach problems, esophagus and swallowing problems and it can even kill you? One of the girls that used to post here past away from being bulimic a few weeks ago. You do not want that just eat a well balanced diet and if you want a piece of cake or pie eat it but just have a small piece. Their are a lot of diets out their, you just have to find one that works well for you but please do not binge and throw up, it is no good. Talk to a nutritionist.
I will tell you something. I am big boned and I was about 30 y/o and I had stomach cancer and I weighed 95 lbs. And I always thought after that that I would rather be overweight thn under weight as I could not eat anything after two surgeries and chemo I got better and I am cancer free to this day and I was so weak when I was thin, years ago, I stuck my finger down my throat a couple of times as I was heavy then but the after taste and everything was horrible and scarry. I will not do it again, I see young girls in the hospital being tube fed in pain from bulimia, you do not want that, if you can't control it, get some professional help!
All the best to you!

You need to start eating properly. I'm not gonna go into small details, but seeing how you need a quick solution I can throw in a couple of pointers at ya:

1) realize that your body is still growing, and by "dieting" the way you're doing now you will most likely cripple yourself (e.G. Inhibit your growth)

2) calculate your bmi (body mass index). This will give you a rough approximation of how much you should weight for your age and body size

3) measure your eer (estimated energy requirement). This will tell you how many calories a day you should consume to keep your current weight consistent. If you consume less than that, you lose weight. More than that, you gain weight.

4) do an extensive research on macro and micro nutrients. You must understand why you have to eat food in the first place (i.E. Why and what kind of food is important for your body).

5) always read nutritional table on the back of meal packages which you buy. Things you have to avoid at all costs are sugars (in carbohydrate section), enriched flour, anything "processed" (in ingredients section), saturated and trans fats (in fats section). In other words, you have to stay away from about 90% of packaged food sold in stores. Also, the trick is to consume as few calories as possible while eating as much food as possible. You can achieve this by eating foods rich in protein, complex carbs, and healthy fats.

6) never try to lose weight by dehydrating yourself! Drink plenty of water.

7) lose weight gradually by doing cardio exercises. Max 3-4 lbs a week. Make sure you don't exceed your target heart rate by a lot, lest you want to lose "weight" while remaining fat (i.E. Burn muscles)

8) it takes a long time, months, definitely not weeks, to lose extra weight, even if you create caloric deficit by eating less than your eer and running on a treadmill every day! You won"t be able to slim down before the school starts! So shoot for the spring graduation and next summer.

9) last but not least. When you're in college, take nutritions 101 class - not for an easy credit, but to absorb as much knowledge as you possibly can.

Contrary to what some people may tell you - stop eating junk food and sweets. You really cannot afford to eat a slice of pie or a pizza more often than once a week. If you have food cravings for crappy foods, brace yourself and don't touch them for 3 to 4 days. That's how long usually the cravings last.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to take care of yourself. It looks like you already do (soccer/working out, etc.). Do not continue throwing up your food. Please stop. It can cause stomach problems that are very painful-- more importantly, it will cause you to obsess over weight and a whole lot of other things. Prioritze. There are more important things going on with you then a couple of pounds. But, if you want to lose some weight-- I suggest weight watchers. It worked for me and it keeps you healthy. Get a friend to join w/ you. Make it fun. It can be. Stay in control of your mind and your life and your body. It keeps you healthy all around. Good luck
