I am only 16 and do not particulary want a child yet and wont be able to afford it either so I think abortion is right choice for me.

Ive seen price lists it looks rather expencive but the babys father said he will pay and respect my descision fully.

Hi lauren =) you sound so mature for a 16 year old! You have wonderful writing =)

i not only have had an abortion, but I work part time for an abortion provider.

I am sorry you became pregnant while on birth control, but it does happen and it is nothing to be ashamed of.
The easiest way to have an abortion is to be put to sleep with an anesthetic, or have other iv sedations. An abortion only takes 3-5 minutes at 6-10 weeks, so it is most certainly very short.

I was not totally asleep for my abortion, but I was under an iv sedation which took all the pain away for me.

Ah, just read your other post. I guess you are paying because the waiting time on nhs is too long.

I found these prices

http://www.Mariestopes.Org.Uk/uk/abortion- fees.Htm

abortion fees 2006

when you have an abortion at one of marie stopes international's centres you can choose to pay in a variety of ways. Please see below for further details.

However, please note: we do not accept cheques drawn on banks outside the uk.

Please note, some regional variations apply to all of the fees listed, if you have any queries, please telephone the centre you are due to attend.

The initial consultation
the cost of an initial consultation is £60. You can pay this by cash, mastercard, visa, switch, delta, solo, electron or by cheque accompanied with a valid cheque guarantee card when you come to the centre.

Paying for the procedure
you can either pay in full in one go or in stages using our easy payment scheme.

Please note that an additional £25 fee is charged for all abortion services (apart from medical abortion) carried out during weekends.

Making one payment
on arrival at the centre you will be asked for payment. You can choose to pay by cash, mastercard, visa, switch, delta, solo, electron or by cheque accompanied with a valid cheque guarantee card. If the cheque exceeds your guarantee limit, it will be subject to authorisation by equifax.

If someone is paying on your behalf (by cheque or credit/debit card) they must accompany you to the centre. Company cheques can be accepted subject to approval by equifax.

Hi, just wanted to say ive just recently had an abortion with the bpas and I got it on the nhs. I saw the doctor on the monday, had my consulation at the clinic on the friday, then went back on wednesday for the first part of the treatment and then on friday for the second part of the treatment. I was quite lucky as there didnt appear to be much of a waiting list. Id advise that you see your doctor and see if you can get one through the nhs, it is so much money to pay, especially for such a young age, im 23.
