I have been taking 150mcg thyroxine for 7 years. Sometimes it needs to be increased to 200mcg a day. During last 6 mths my eyes have become more and more tired and in mornings am unable to open my eyes and waking up to function takes over 1 hour. I am experiencing symptoms from offset of diagnosis - aching and swollen ankles, puffiness and hair thinning and feeling freezing at home when everyone else is boiling! I am fit and energetic usually and enjoy workouts at the gym 3 times a week but this is becoming less frequent as I feel ill now. Am waiting for results of recent blood tests and x-ray to sinuses just to check if these are causing swollen puffy eyes.
Any comments or advice would be most welcome.
