Q: Iui - Too Many Follices

history: i'm 39 and am on my second cycle of iui and I just found out I have 7 viable follicles. My husbands sperm count and mobility is fine but the third measurement (shape of sperm) he was low on. I got pg last year and had a miscarrage. We have been trying with for the past year and a half.

current situation: the doctor said that she would do the iui but that she was concerned about multiples and would like me to decide if I could follow through with selective embryo reduction if I become pg with more than two. My right side has 4 viable follicles size: 15.3, 14.2, 14.1, 12.1
my left side has 17.6, 16.7, 15.8

:?: my questions are: does the size of the follicles matter once they are over 15? Has anyone been in this situation? How did it turn out for them? Any information on selective embryo reduction?

Size matters... When I has an ultrascan to check on the egg size, the doc said a good egg should be between 15 to 20mm ....... Anything more or less will not develop into an embryo.

As for embryo reduction, normally occurs in multiples: this is to help u keep one or two babies, unless u want all or 3 or 4 babies, if ur health permits... This process will remove the excess babies(embryos) from the womb. So u dun have to suffer with more pressure n etc...
