Varicocele And Fertility Posted: 07-28-06 15:43pm
Hello, i'm danielle. I've been on the
birth control pill yasmin for the past 6
months. I've been with my boyfriend for
nearly a year now and i've found out some
disturbing news. He has a varicocele
(swollen varicose vein in the scrotum)
i've educated myself on this and the odds
of him being able to father children seem
low :cry: which is devestating to both of
us. I was wondering if anyone had any
personal experience with this problem or
any words of advice. I have decided to
stop taking the pill since I don't see
much point of it and i'm paying for it
with money out of my pocket. I am young
and certainly not looking to concieve at
this time but i'd like to know if when the
time comes (2 years or so) if i'll be able
to concieve. I know there's no sure way
to tell but it would be nice to have some
hope. At this time we're both feeling
pretty hopeless. Thank you for your
