I got an exam yesterday and she said that I was 50% enfaced my cervix was open and the baby's head dropped down. This was a big change because I had an exam last week and there was no progress. Does anybody know if this means I will go into labour soon? Im schedule to be induced on the 15th of august but I feel like I might go before then.

No. You can be effaced and dilated for months before you deliver. However that is just that much less you'll have to progress when you do go into labor.

Good luck!

You could possibly go into labor but they still may have to induce you.I have seen people be 3-4 centimeters dialated for 2 weeks so being effaced is a start but doesn't determien whether you will go into labor soon or not
