Q: Question About Caffeine
asked by: grniys on July 27th, 2006

Hi everyone. I used to drink a lot of caffeine every day. I recently stopped because we're ttc and I know it lowers the chances and is bad for the baby.

My question is because I drank such an enormous amount of caffeine in the past will it (could it) still effect my fertility? Will it ever stop effecting the fertility?

Thank you to anyone who reads this.

I have no clue on this one--maybe you can search google for like caffeine fertility..And it will probably have alot of information for your question..

I would think that if you stopped then your chances will be greater...I doubt that because you use to drink it alot would effect it the rest of your life...--as for me I was the same way ..I drink caffeine everyday all day..And I still conceived and had a healthy baby boy..Which I didnt drink it throughout my pregnany...But good luck and sorry I couldnt answer your question fully..

I don't think caffeine has long term side effects and i'm pretty sure when it leaves your body, it is gone.

If you are trying to conceive a baby, it is a good idea to go see your doctor and get a routine check up prior to getting pregnant.

Good luck getting that baby!

Thanks for the advice. I actually went to the doctor back when we were just considering trying, and she gave me prenatal vitamins that i'm taking. I forgot to ask her about the caffeine question, though.
