I'm a 16 yr old girl and for about 9
months now I have been afraid of my
parents having sex. To start off it all
happened one night when I was sleeping at
my friends house and I heard her parents
having sex, that was the first time I had
ever experienced sex. I know its a normal
activity for people to do i'm not stupid.
I have been to two doctors and they have
told me the same thing and I know. I
started taking medications and all they
did was make me sick. I started to sleep
in my parents room and its a pathetic fear
I know, I just need some help.

Is it the sex that bothers you, or the
fact that it's your parents?
I think innevitably what it comes down to,
is you need to experience a healthy
sex-life for yourself.

young yet. please please dont believe what
he or she said that is not the answer. im
not sure exactly what is but sex is never
the answer for overcomming that fear talk
to a therapist, not a doctor.
same as the previous post: what bothers
you exactly, the act of sex or the fact
that you know those who are having sex ?
I guess it's the 2nd. We know pretty good
how sex works but we can't imagine them
doing it. I'd see this oddly as well,
those people we know, love and respect. I
can't imagine anyone of my family having
sex. Porn actors don't disturb me, nor my
very active Portugese neighbours. But
hearing parents climb up the wall at night
is REALLY annoying.
Me: Thank you grandma for letting me move
in. Now I will finally SLEEP at night.
Grandma: Whoa ?
Me: Never mind.

Hey, sex scares me to. Ever since I was
like five I have thought it is disgusting
and makes me sick to think about it. I
can't imagine my parents going on, it
sounds so wrong. But, between two married
people it can be wonderful so I've been
told. (My solution: never marry!)
Talk to your Mom. Explain what happened at
your friend's house and tell her that
you'd rather she not have sex while you're
home. That way you can stop worrying about
it and never have to wonder when it might
happen.
