Ok I am 16 and was on holidays for a week and on the plane home I started my periods so when I got off I decided to put a tampon in.So when I got home I was so tired I decided to sleep for a while.I slept for about 12 hours and when I awoke I couldnt find the tampon anywhere so it must have gone further in. I think I can feel it but its so far back I cant get a grip on it. It been in me now for over a day and I am not feeling to well.I am kind of afraid to go to the doctor but I know I should as I heard it can make you really sick. How long would it take for it to make be sick? And is there any other way of geting it out? And is it through it can prevent you from having kids in the future if un treated? Xxx

When you go to the toilet push as hard as you can like you are doing a no. 2.......It's happened to me too....I was out having a drink had one too much and put a second one in fogetting I already had one in, the second one came out ok, but could'nt get a grip on the first one that went in, I just kept pushing like I was going to (crap) sorry the expresion and it eventually came out after a few hours of going to the loo...I would'nt put my fingers in, it might push it in even more....Good luck.......P.S. Of course it doesnt cause any serious problems later....I have 2 healthy boys now......

It depends on the absorbancy level of your tampon. I think they recommend changing them every 4-6 hours. You can get something called toxic shock syndrome that can be fatal. Getting that out, whatever your options are, is the most important thing right now - even if you have to go to the doctor to do it.

I agree with the previous poster, push like you are having a bm until you can reach it. If not, you may have to just dive right in unless you want the doctor to do it for you.

Good luck!!
