Q: What is causing Bump on the Knee Cap?

I hit my kne on the floor in march of 2006 a bump developed on the knee cap that has been there until now July 2006 it hurts when i jump, run and when I sit in a car for a long time

An X-ray image of the injured knee can indicate any fracture that is possibly causing the bump that you describe. You can consult an orthopedist immediately to diagnose and treat the condition of your knee!
