I am a 54 yr.Old female with a question on facial hair. I had a hysterectomy in 1988 & have been on premarin for quite some time but this problem goes back further than that. I have a lot of dark & white hairs growing on my chin area & have tried everything to get rid of them-or at least control the growth. The white ones are very thick & coarse & make eruptions on the skin as they come through. I have tried waxing, plucking, shaving, electrolysis & vaniqua to get rid of these hairs. I always end up with sores all around my chin area from digging the hairs out & look like I have a bad case of acne, which is not the case. I thought about laser treatment but that is only for darker hairs & the white ones are the biggest problem. I had a test 20 years ago to see if my testerome level was elevated & it came back o.K. I am handling the menopause issues o.K. But all these hairs & the subsequest sores are driving me crazy-plus making me look like a teenager with bad zits. Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations on what to do about this problem?
