Q: Pregnant On the Pill?????

I've been on estrostep (bc) for 1 year now. I take it regularly except I missed the first pill of the last 2 packs(28 day cycle). Both times I took it the next day(about 33 hours late).

Recently, i've had some pregnacy symptoms such as: sore boobs, especially sore nipple, bigger boobs, headaches, excessive peeing, overly emotional and cranky(unlike me), and some fatigue.

I don't know if i've missed a period because I don't know when to expect it. I took a hpt about a week ago and it was negative.

Has anyone out there ever got pregnant while on the pill?

You should expect your pill within a few days of starting your sugar pills. Haven't you been having a period for a year at the same time every month?

Wait until you miss a period to worrry. And test then - when you should have your period. Testing before your period is a waste.

You are more than likely safe.

No, unfortunately I have not had a period the same time every month the past year. When I first got on the pill, I didn't have a period for 3 months. Since then, i've had like 2. So, that's why i'm a little confused. I don't "technically" know if i'm late or not. Based on the last time I actually had a period, i'm about 4 months late!! :)

Then take a pregnancy test. If you do not trust that, go to your doctor for a blood test.

Also, some women do not react well to the pill. I took the pill fine for 7 years, but started having problems in january. The pill actually made me feel pregnant! I got major painful water retention and swelling in my feet, legs, ankles. My abdomen over my uterus became hard and bulgy. Got a ravenous appetite and weight gain of almost 20 lb. Overnight. I became super-moody and anxious, crying at the smallest thing. (crying at least once daily.) I started having strange food cravings. When I took a pregnancy test, it came back negative. Finally clued in to the fact that it could be the pill. I stopped taking it about 2 months ago, and these symptoms have all either gone away or lessened quite a bit.
