Hi, my left-side rib cage (near to my heart) has been hurting for a week. The pain is not very sharp, but it hurts slightly when I lift up my left arm and stretch. I have never felt any pain in that part of the body. And I have not been doing any exercises at all, like going to the gym or swimming. But I have been a little stressed lately, due to an increased work load.
Could stress be the reason for the pain? Or am I suffering from bone problems or even cancer?

Extremely eHealthy
Have u had an injury? Have u been lifting heavy weights or objects? U may have strained a ligament or muscle. It cud b due to stress I guess.
If u find a lump there or near ur armpit, visit ur doc straight away.
I wouldnt b too concerned if u say its not too painful but if it worries u,visit ur doc,
best wishes
liz

Does it hurt when you breath or when you push on it? Try looking up costochondritis and see if it sounds like your symptoms. Should probably see the doctor though, stress combined with chest pain doesn't sound like a good mixture.
