:?: my girl friend has mono and not being able to kiss her is starting to make things tough for us. This is summer break for me and school starts in just about one month. I will b on the foot ball team as a elective class and if I do get mono from her from other ways than kissing should I get out of foot ball now? I heard u get a inlarged spleen and should say away from phyical activities such as being takled and what not so should I play it safe and quit b4 I get a ripped spleen and have to go into surrgry or wores.
My mother had mono when she was around 18 and gave birth to me when she was 34 what r the chances that I would have some kinda emuneity to it or am I up a creek with out a paddle on that hope.
I heard that mono is one of the most common viruses in the world and that 95% of people over 40 have had it or still have it manly that is if I do get it what is the chance I wont get it that bad as bad as my girl friend did. She had her tonsels swell so large that she had to take steroides to bring them back down so she could eat again. Will the virus affect me the same way did her or will my body fight it differently?
Iv been looking every where for some answers to these so plez help me u could save my life and my relationship.
