I am definitely losing my marbles. Matt is just a little over two months old and already my brain is frantically imagining having a little girl. Everyone said that I would want another one but I swore that I wouldn't. Now that i'm getting further and further from the memory of the pain I definitely want a girl... I just hope I can wait a few more years.

isn't it amazing how you forget the pain after such a short period of time?

I think it's just that I wanted a little girl so badly and I got a boy. And while I love him to death and thinking he's the greatest thing since sliced bread I can't help but thinking about what it would be like to have a little girl. What it would be like to have someone whose thought patterns are not foreign (the way boys and men think boggles the mind). Imagining a little pink room, frilly dresses and black patent leather shoes. I think it's just that I need an ally in a sea of testosterone.

Well, let me tell you guys something, I have a daughter and she is .N.O.T a girly girl in any way. She rides dirt bikes, she plays with bugs, she doesn't like the color pink, she refuses to wear dresses and she would rather play with boy's toys than girls toys.

She wants to shop in the boy's section of the store because they get cool clothes, she says. She loves .Super .Heroes and hates princesses. I got her a barbie that has the same name she does, and it is in the very most bottom of her toybox! She would rather play with her cars and trucks.

Having a girl does not guarantee you will get a 'girl' to dress up and play with. ;)

(shakes head ruefully) don't I know it. We can't even afford it right now and i'm not even back to my old self yet. But I thought of a name anyway. Ariela annalise. What do you guys think? I guess i'm gonna have to stick around here a while bcuz I have an idea that in about a year i'm gonna be ttc.

Ingi, even if she likes trucks better she can still be an ally! I liked trucks better when I was around 9-10. But I still liked my dresses too (and pink and ballet). More often than not they just ended up ripped and stained from playing with the boys!
