Hi all. I'm now in week 8 and will start week 9 on the diet on saturday. My blood suger is very stable now staying between 75 and 80 most of the time. I have not had a drop into the 50s or 60s in 7 weeks!!!!
I can't thank you enough stan!!!!
I think it may be time to add some things back in to my diet. I have a pretty severe reaction to fruit, but wondered if I should try it again or try adding some type of dairy or grain instead.

Wow only 3 months! Very good, says a lot about my diet! I'm still working on it, i've had no bad days in three weeks, and i'm happy enough for that. Good job! Hmmm, well, adding stuff in can be tricky. I've read that you should wait at least four months and some saw up to six so that your body is fully prepared. If you really think you're ready, here's what to do (this is my theory anyway, what i'm going to do when I feel like i'm ready).

1. Whatever you do only test your foods towards your last three meals, don't do it early in the day.

2. I suggest waiting in fact to the third or second to last meal.

3. Whatever you want to try, be it fruit or grain or a small piece of bread, keep it small! A small piece of bread, to me, would be like a very, very small square, maybe only 1 inch by 1 inch or even further, 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch. It sounds pathetic, but this is what I recommend.

4. Here's the annoying part, whatever you decide to eat and how big it is, only have it for one meal. Eat it and then don't eat it again or change your diet for five days. Watch your sugar and pay attention to see if you have any changes in symptoms. If you do, wait another week and try again, but try something else or go for a smaller portion. This is the most annoying aspect and why the diet can take a long time to finally get completely in order. It's what I recommend and what i'm going to do, but if you find yourself doing really good, try the piece of food and notice nothing in five days, increase and wait five more days. When you've increased it that second time, try adding the first size portion to another meal, starting with either the third or second to last meal. Build backwards from there, I think you get the idea.

Thanks!
I think I will give it another month then to be sure. I did have a little vinegar with my salad last night - tasty
i noticed that vinegar is not on the banned item list, but not on the menu either.
Are all vinegars okay - or just certain ones?

Haven't really researched that, but i've used apple cider vinegar just fine before. It tastes the best to me anyway. Since I say to avoid products containing or made from rice, grapes and so forth, it would be best to stick with apple cider, organic if possible.
