Q: Left Breast is tender with firm Tissue
asked by: DoctorQuestion on July 25th, 2006
I hope you might be able to help.
3 years ago I began to have on and off mild burning & discomfort in left breast, upper near armpit.
I had a normal CBE and ultrasound. I followed up this past April with same complaint, had a normal CBE again.
I now feel that the left breast is more tender and tissue feels firmer than right. I feel some tenderness in the right, but more in the left.
Its worse & with swelling 2 weeks prior to menses but remains tender on and off through entire cycle.
I also have a history of anxiety and panic. I'm very worried.
I will follow up for another CBE in 3 weeks.
Thankyou!

A mammography can help identify the cause of your symptoms. If everything is OK again, then the real problem could be your anxiety.
