Just got home from my scan and it was amazing! My baby was very awkward, though.. All curled up in a little ball. Very cute, but it meant that the sonographer couldn't check everything so I have to go back again next week.

She said it looked fine though, and I only have to go back for routine purposes, not coz there's anything wrong.

I didn't get to find out the sex coz the little one was too scrunched up, but I might do next week if baba is more co-operative! Seeing the heartbeat was amazing and when s/he was lying facing me baba kept opening and closing his/her mouth... Like s/he was hungry already! That's what the second scan picture is of, when his/her mouth is open.

Zany, you might want to drink some juice before your appointment to make baby more active.

Think about removing your name, etc, from that ultrasound. You never know who might be reading this message board.

Cute baby, by the way!

I had to drink a pint of water and juice before my scan anyway, and it didn't help! S/he was very active and wriggling all over the place, but stayed curled up in a little cute ball. Hehe

i know my bump is tiny, but I reckon it'll soon get bigger... I'm enjoying this part coz I can still fit into most of my clothes!

Thanks everyone =)

Does your dad know? Are they willing to help out?

my whole family knows.. Grandparents, aunties, uncles, cousins.. The whole lot. My parents are being more supportive now, I think they just needed some time to get used to the idea. It's much better at home now though =)

the hospital sent me a letter saying it was "essential" that I had a full bladder for the scan.. And my sister said that last year when she was pregnant she was told it wasn't necessary. I think different hospitals have different ideas.. And they do tend to change their minds a lot!

We thought I was in my 19th week going by the due date the dr had calculated going by my last period but during the scan we saw the baby was only in it's 16th week... Probably closer to 17 by now. I'll enter my new due date and make a new ticker and figure it out later. Which is also why he didn't give me a more definite on the gender and only a 70 percent most educated idea.
