I am about 1 week late, and there is a posibility of me being pregnant. My breasts have been soar for about 2 1/2 weeks now. They feel really heavy and seem like they are getting bigger. I'm not sure how far along you should be in order to feel these symptoms...Also my back has been starting to aches since a few days ago. Just an fyi...My breast never feel like this before I am expecting my period. Also, I have been feeling weird sensations in my stomach for the past couple of weeks as well... And i've gained about 5 pounds in the past couple of weeks as well. My husband and I are trying to conceive but I don't want to get too excited over these symptoms. Also, I don't know if i'm ready to take a test or if it too earl. I have taken many tests over the past year and a half and all havem been negative. So I may not be fully equipped emotionally to deal with any more disheartening results. That's the other thing... I have been feeling very emotional lately...Maybe the past week. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

Thanks,

sabrina

You're going to have to test. A test should be positive if you've missed a period. Usually, symptoms such as back ache do not occur until later in pregnancy. I am 21 weeks and I am just starting to get a sore back. And I don't think weight gain is a sign of pregnancy, at least not so soon. Weight gain shouldn't pick up until the second trimester. We cannot tell you the odds of you being pregnant, and we cannot say if the symptoms you are experiencing are pregnancy symptoms. Many times, pregnancy symptoms can mimic the signs of a period, so symptoms are not a reliable source of diagnosing pregnancy. Like I said, if your period is late, a test should be positive if you truly are pregnant. All you can do is test.

Take a test. That's the only way you'll know.

No idea. It could be your cycle. It could be implantation bleeding. It could be something else.

...Take a test.

Ok hun, you keep posting about things that are happening to you but you never once ackowledge these women when they tell you to test . That is is the only thing you can do and being 2 weeks late is already late enought to test. The spoting can be because either your one of the small minority who bleed and spot during pregnancy or your period is coming. So you see how a test is necessary because this is all speculation . Good luck.
