What Can I Do?
Posted: 07-25-06 04:51am

:( hi, i'm a new girl to ehealth and i'm desperate for some answers, or to hear from someone else who is going through a simular thing?

We have been trying for a baby for nearly 3 years (both 39) and I have had the usual tests, incl lapo, tubes, some other thing where they put a camera in your uterus (in search of polyps & fibroids) got the full bill of health no defects found. I ovulate and have good patterns of cervical fluid although I do have a cervical erosion which apparently is nothing to worry about.

However at least 4 times this year and about the same last year I have had the following syptoms: (i am experiencing them as I write this today at day 26 of my cycle).

Spotting, from day 22 dark to bright red. Sometimes extremely dark. Feeling so tired, breast tenderness and enlarged. Dull ache in lower right abdomen. Then the spotting stops for a day or so then a period follows around day 31-35. Often very heavy with clotting and severe cramps. Usually leaves me feeling exhausted. I am also putting on weight although i'm eating the same amounts, I never snack inbetween, never eat sweets in fact I eat a very healthy diet with lots of salads, vege & fruit.

Last year on holiday I had an extremely heavy bleed (bright red) at day 22 which stopped the same day and my normal period followed at day 28!

I am so confused, am I getting pregnant and losing it everytime or are my hormones a bit cranky? :?:
