Q: Sticky Green Or Brown Discharge During Menopause?

Dear forum,

my mother has recently been going through menopause for about 2 years now-and for the past month she said she's been getting a very sticky and thick mucus like discharge that is usually brown or green. It is usually so thick/sticky that it wont even come off by washing it in the laundry, it has to be like physicaly scrubbed off.

She asked her mother (who used to be a nurse) and said that , a dishcarge like that, even for menopause is not normal. Im going to the gynocologist next week and she is going to ask them herself regarding her recent discharge.

Has anyone here experienced a discharge like that and have any suggestions of what it might be?

Thank you

Hi,

the discharge I had was almost black! It had been after a few months of no periods and then this. I think the longer between periods, the darker the discharge is. It only happened once and then no more periods.

She's gonna make an appointment to talk to the dr about it more.

creamy brown discharge in my menopause
I am having this problem right now. Going through the menopause. Just started getting this creamy browny sticky discharge. Went to GP she did a swob test, it came back completely clear. GP said it was memopause because of lack of Estrogen. I don't know. Any advise from anyone would be very much appreciated.
