I just found out today that my medical insurace will be running out on the 16th of august. I am due the 23rd of august. They have already measured my baby and he is guest to be about 6.2 lbs. I feel stupid asking my doctor and I need some reasurance. Do you think if I told my doctor this and showed her the paper work he might induce labor sooner. I I will be 38 weeks on the 10th of august. I just don't want to ask her and look completly stupid. I am 18 and my medical insurance was coming from my father.

I live in uk where we have free healthcare so i'm not too qualified to answer but this definatley is a situation you need to resolve asap. They may do an induction but don't bank on it. You need to get emergency health insurance asap. What about after you've had the baby? How are you going to be covered then?

That just it I am not. My husband started a new job (better of course) and he we won't be able to get medical insurace until november. I'm really in a bind. I talked to the dshs and they said that they would cover the baby on 60 days after he is born. That still leaves me with a month that he is not coverd.

Well, if anything goes wrong in that one month your little tyke isn't covered, you'll probably be able to handle it financially, unless it's something serious but i'm not even going to think that :) I do think there are other kinds of insurance to get though... How about .Gerber?

I thought gerber only had life insurance and they have to be a certain age.

Have you talked to your insurance extensively to make sure there is no way to keep you on your fathers? I'm 18 also but I know our plans keeps me covered on my parents as long as i'm enrolled full time in school. So maybe there is some sort of circumstance that they can keep you on for?!? I don't know if you are going to go to college or anything but just maybe a possibility to look into. If your hosipital stays aren't covered it sure won't be a pretty bill so do some looking and find out what you can! Best of luck...
