Q: Embarrassed to see Doctor about Bumps on Penis
asked by: DoctorQuestion on July 23rd, 2006
I have these small bumps on the shaft of my penis and they do not look like any pictures ihave seen of genital warts or genital herpes. they are lone, none in a gropu and very small. there isno discharge and they are not roughthough theycan be felt when rubbed. I am rather embarrassed to go to the doctor yet but am freaking out as to what htey could be. they are pikish/white in color and have gotten a little smaller over the last couple of days. I have done some research and it seems there are manythings they look like. I would like to know based on the description what you think.

Changes in the skin are often difficult to diagnose even if seen by a doctor, let alone via written description. Dermatologists use "inspection" (seeing the skin change) as the major diagnostic tool for most skin diseases. Therefore, I cannot speculate about your condition but will only recommend you visit a dermatovenerologist. And not to worry, dermatovenerologists specialize in diagnosing skin problems around the genitals. there is nothing to be ashamed of or embarrased about...trust that you are seeing a professional.
