Q: Is It Hypoglycemia?

Okay, i'm writing this for my brother, who is only 10 years old. I am totally clueless about hypoglycemia and I really don't know if 10 is too young to have symptoms or anything so just bear with me.
My brother has always been a bad eater. His pickiness has led him to eating high amounts of sugary foods. But he's very thin and eats alot. But if he doesn't eat something every couple of hours he complains of nausea and an upset stomach. If we're out and he can't get food right away, he proceeds to get weak and more nauseated. I was just wondering what this could be? Any ideas??

Definitely sounds like hypoglycemia, and it's very possible to get it at that age. That means, however, if he doesn't get it under control the older he gets the worse the symptoms will get and he may begin to lose mental control. I suggest doing the glucose tolerance test to see what happens. You could always just put him on a good diet, but kids can sometimes be bad with that so showing the test results is the best bet in this case.
