Q: Cant Decide On Any Birth Control

Hi i'm 16 years old and I just had a baby girl and I can't decide on any bith control. I want to take the patch but i'm breastfeeding and I heard that the patch could dry my milk. Is it ok to put the patch and breastfeed my baby girl.Please help.I can't decide. :?:

Why not consider an iud? You already have been pregnant once before the age of 18, and the iud is just as effective as having your tubes tied. It is also safe for breastfeeding, and can last 5-10 years depending on the kind you may get.

I have used the iud for 3 years and love it! I have had a few birth control failures, and a few abortions, so this emthod works for me.

Hey carifairy, since my recent freak out on the pill, do you think it'd be possible for me to get an iud? I thought you said you got pregnant on it once? I haven't ever been pregnant and i'd like to keep it that way, but do you think they'll be less willing to give me one?

i most deff. think you should look into the iud i was on the shot for about 2 years and it made me gain weight , my friends got put on it and she cant seem to gain any she is loosing. i got pregnant when i was on it , soo look into the iud and ask your dr. about it.
