Q: Going to a Gynecolist.

My doctor has send me to a specialist to examine me. I have a yeast infection, and nothing we are doing seems to be working. I was just wondering what the gynecologist does. Would he try to see deeper than my physician. She puts something with a little light to see inside, and feels my uterus and ovaries. Does the gynecologist try to do something else. Because if that's so I don't think I could stand it. I can barely stand it when the physician just touches the outside of my vagina, how am I going to stand someone trying to reach all the way to the cervix.

Extremely eHealthy
Suggestion before you see the gyne try taking a bath several times a day with apple cider vineagar in it & flush this through your vaginal area like waves on a beach for as long as you can (use the time to relax) this kills many infections in that area.

The gyne may not go further than the dr but he/she is a specialist so is better able to see & know what is & isn't right.

I know how you feel about getting checked out by the gyno, but don't worry. It's important that you do get a check up even if it is uncomfortable for you. And since you have a yeast infection, I would recommend this pill called diflucan. You're gyno can prescribe it to you. It's just one pill and within a few days, your symptoms should disappear. And I don't know about flushing with vinegar, i've heard bad things about that. The best person to talk to about this is your gyno

Some Advice
Make sure that you tell the gyno that you are sore, and they will be gental. The gyno can prescribe you different forms of treatments. Diflucan does work, and it is alot easier then using the creams and supositories(sp?). But they may tell you to use an over the counter treatment as well. If you keep getting yeast infections they may want to test you for reasons why you get getting them. In which they may take samples of fluid from you vaginal wall and test them. I have had that done, its no big deal, they just swipe your vaginal wall with a big q-tip. Relax, alot of people are going to the same thing. The reason your doctor is sending you to a gynocologist is because the gyno's know more about them, and treating them.
