Q: Telling Parents About Pregnancy

Okay girls. I know it's hard to be a teen and have to tell your parents that you're going to have a baby. Sometimes you put it off until you go into labour. But it's just not right. Most of you still live at home and are financially dependant on your parents. You probably have no idea how expensive a delivery and caring a baby is. Isn't it only fair that you tell the people who will be financing your child's life?

Again, I understand that it's not easy to tell your parents. Yes, they will be disappointed. Yes, they may get angry. But if you were them, wouldn't you rather know well in advance so you can plan how you're going to take care of the baby? It certainly won't be you 14 year olds.

And no, i'm not mocking 14 year olds having babies. caca happens. But you can't afford to finance the child's life. You can't even work. So tell your parents, get that out of the way, and let them help you. Do you understand insurance? Do you understand that certain doctors may not be covered by your insurance? Certain hospitals? Co-pays? Deductables? Probably not. So just tell them already.

Thank you.

Okay first off..I am 18 ..Got pregnant at 17...And I paid for everything ..And still do and yes I understand insurance and bills and all that bs ..Because i've been on my own sincei was 17 ..I never had my parents throughout my pregnancy ..They were killed 4 days before I found out I was pregnant and if they were still alive when I did find out ..I would have told them right away..Because im mature and responsible enough to take my punishment for the things I do in life..Everyone makes mistakes and I kind of think your post was pointless...Because we all know this..There arent many 14 years olds on here that are pregnant or have children...But maybe one or two..Most the ones that do come on here that are like omg I think im preggo and I havent told my parents are newbies..That will never post again..

I hate when people come here and post ..To try and stick all "teen mothers" in the same boat...Yeah some of the are irresponsible..And childish...But most of us on here with children..Love them very much and take care of them ourselves..So maybe you should have gotten to know the mothers here ..Instead of assuming that we are all stupid and bum off our parents to get money for our children..Sorry im being rude but this post just made me very mad..So get lost you sh*tface

I agree with jillian. You don't know every teenage mother, therefore you should not judge them. Every situation has different circumstances and as .Jillian said, you can't just put them all in one boat. You should have gotten to know the teen mothers in here. They are complete opposite of what you said. Don't try to be a know it all.....They aren't tolerated well around here.

I'm going to play along with your generalizations here. Well since every single one of us is 14 and apparently among us there were cases of waiting until labour to reveal pregnancy, we must also all have sightless imbecilic parents. (just like your reasoning claims we must all be 14, and some of us must have put off revealing our pregnancies until labour, my reasoning says there is no other type of person besides a sightless imbecile from who pregnancy can be concealed that long. Wow... At least my reasoning is actually tangible.) here your theory falls through though. If we are those things, and therefore must have sightless imbecilic parents, how are we also undoubtedly going to depend on them to support our babies? I don't know too many blind idiots making enough money to support babies. Why are you such a dolt? And what the hell is a nunupup? And why don't you do something else with your empty life other than wasting your time harassing teenage mothers you don't know? (like you and emma both admitted to doing on the pregnancy side in other forums). It's pathetic. You don't sound clever or witty, you haven't made us look or feel stupid. You have only embarrassed yourself for having sunk to this level. You've only made your own life look empty and sad. You aren't better than us, the immaturity of doing something such as posting the rubbish you did proves that. I know teen parents (yes, the people you are insulting like you are so much greater) who have more self respect and sense than to ever post something as stupid as you did. You aren't better than us, just older. And that child inside of you isn't any better than our children because you have a few years on us. The fact that we're young and might have financial trouble doesn't hinder our children from possibly exceeding your child in school, sports, and life in all aspect in the future. This place we are at right now, which people like you seem to love to attack, isn't at all a foresight into our futures. And chances are a lot of teen parents are going to end up doing better in life and being happier than you are right now sitting there on your self-righteous pedestal looking down on us with your condescending "advice". No one feel stupid, no one thinks you sounded witty or clever (except maybe emma). Infact I feel sorry for you. Very pathetic. It doesn't take a lot of courage to kick a horse when it is down. That is what you are doing. Harassing teens while they are in a bad place and having a hard time doesn't take much bravery. You just look like a coward by what you have posted. What will it look like when we have overcome all the struggles we are facing now, we have finished university, have become completely independent, got good jobs, and we are better for the hardships we overcame and you are still sitting on your computer harassing the next generation of teen parents? Please look at yourself, I feel really sorry for you.

This is off topic but jillian

the reason why i'm not on anymore is because someone stole brayden's photos and posted them on another forum & had alittle website about him with my photos on it too. I got them both deleted and it kinda scared me a bit which is why I haven't been on & posting much. Bray's photos will no longer be posted on this website anymore!

I am on another forum that I don't post on at all, and this girl named a topic "brayden and i" and I was like omg that's cool her baby's name is brayden too and when I clicked on the link I was like holy sh*t. She also had a website about us both, chris, me & brayden.

Talk about psycho lol
