I've been on ortho try cyclen for about 3 years and I noticed when I was on the patch for a couple of months my skin was a lot clearer. I didn't trust the patch though so I switched back to the pill and I noticed my acne got a lot worse. From what ive heard this pill is supposed to make your skin clearer. Is there any pill I can switch too the will lessen my acne? Would a lower dose help?
Would getting off the pill all together help my skin?

I don't know; I thought ortho-tri-cyclen was the most common prescription given in order to reduce acne... It certainly rediced my a lot!

I was 17 when I went into bc pills...And I will tell you even if they say that bc is supposed to clear up acne...It is not necessary true for everybody and for some like me...It can cause acne or worse existing acne...Though it is not definite that your bc is the one causing your acne..There's no way to be sure until you stop taking it or switch with non-hormonal for of bc..But for me as soon as i've stopped taking orth tri-cyclen lo my acne clears up
