Hey I have a question, I got my period on monday and today ( wednesday ) its pretty much done... My period is never this short!!!! It was only 3 days!!! And it was dark red, pink,light red color.... What I think is normal... But it wasnt heavy @ all this month.. Last month my period almost lasted 6 days. Im just wondering if there is a chance I could be preggo... Ive been tired all the time.. I missed my pack last month because I had to switch birth control packs due to the fact that my old birth control was giving me problems...

My last period was june 22 and it lasted 6 days. Since then I have had sex pretty much everyday or every other day about 2-6 times a day ( im really attracted to my boyfriend lol but I dont think he minds lol ) so I guess im wondering if there is a chance of pregnancy... Im assuming there isnt because I had my (short) period. I know you can still be pregnant and have a period....

Any idea's on why my period was so light and short? Also do you think there is a chance of pregnancy? Or is my body just being weird?

To mean period is to actually release the egg and lining so no you cant have a period whilst pregnant,but you can bleed although from my experience the blood is totally different.I think us women have a different point of view from the medical world as to what a period is. We describe any vaginal bleeding as a period. The medical world has different definitions for vaginal blood occurrences. If you spot brown blood for two days and know your not pregnant, then the doc may tell you that was a period. If you spot for two days and are pregnant, then doc may say that isn't a period and have some medical terminology for it. The medical world has to take everything else in your life at that time into consideration as well (like on/off birth control, health problems, etc.) to properly diagnose what the bleeding actually is.

Cha-cha, you posted on the birth control forum that you are currently taking bith control. I doubt you are pregnant. Birth control can cause lighter periods that don't last as many days.

If you are concerned, take a pregnancy test.

No one can have their period while pregnant. Periods only come after ovulation and youre certainly not ovulating while pregnant. You may have some bleeding or spotting but please refrain from using the term "period" its misleading and confuses many people.

Women think its a period cause thier bleeding like loulou said.It can be due to your bc or any stress you might be going through at the moment. The fact that you have had a lot of sex even during the month you were not on bc means there is a great chance you could be pregnant.I would wait a couple of days and test

Lol sorry about the confusion. I was on loestrin (sp) and I dont like it. I missed the pack last month (long story) and I want to go on a different b-control... Anyways, I was just wondering why my period was weird this month. After I wrote that post I researched all about that.. Anyways, I know its not a period but I didnt know any other way to describe it.

shorter than usual period...

i am usually very regular, always on time and the duration is very regular about 4-5 days. i had brown spotting on sunday and began bleeding normally on monday morning(right when i was suppose to start my period). it is now wed and it seems as though the bleeding has completely stopped. i have never had a period this short, so im wondering if it even was a period......i am not on the pill, i also do not have sex(actual intercourse) but do mess around( outercourse....w undergarments on but he never ejaculates near my "area") with my fiance. but my question is, is there anyway his precum could have soaked through the undergarments and caused me to be pregnant, therefore causing me to have this irregular bleeding?
