Hey everyone!

I am 35 weeks and I just went to the doctor today. She said that my cervix is ripe and I am dialted to 2 and I am at a -2. I understand most of this but what exactly does the -2 refer to? I realize it is the number to measure how far down the baby's head is in the pelvis, but I can't seem to find any information to explain this further.

If someone knows, I am curious.

She said she is sure I will deliver by my due date if not sooner!

Best wishes everyone!

I went to the Dr. Yesterday and she said that my cervix was open and I was 50% effaced and the head dropped down into the pelvis too. I was just looking in a flyer that she gave me and -2 is a station in the pelvis that the baby is in. It goes from -4(floating) up 4 which is when the baby is completly in your pelvis. 0 means engaged in pelvic. I hope that helps :d
